This privacy policy describes how Flax Labs (flaxlabs.com) collects, uses, and protects data through the Flax Labs growth dashboard and its connected apps and integrations — including Shopify, Google (Google Ads), Meta, and Klaviyo. We believe in transparency and keeping things straightforward.
What Data We Collect
When you install Flax Labs Connect, we access the following data from your Shopify store:
- Order data — order IDs, dates, values, and product details
- Customer data — names, email addresses, and order history
- Product data — titles, prices, and inventory levels
- Store analytics data — aggregate performance metrics
Connected Advertising & Analytics Platforms
With your authorization, Flax Labs connects to the advertising and marketing platforms you use so we can report on performance in your dashboard. When you connect an account, we request read-only access to reporting data only:
- Google Ads (Google API scope
adwords) — campaign, ad group, keyword, and conversion performance metrics for the ad accounts you connect - Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Ads — spend, ROAS, CPA, and creative performance for the ad accounts you connect
- Klaviyo — email and SMS campaign, flow, and list-growth metrics
We do not create, edit, pause, or delete campaigns unless you separately engage Flax Labs to manage your accounts. We do not access data beyond what is needed to produce your reports.
Google API Services — Limited Use
Flax Labs' use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data obtained through Google APIs is used solely to display advertising performance in your Flax Labs dashboard and reports; it is never sold, used for advertising, or transferred to third parties, and humans do not read it except as required for security, to comply with the law, or with your explicit consent.
How We Use Your Data
- Performance reporting and analytics dashboards
- Customer retention and cohort analysis
- Revenue tracking and growth recommendations
We do not sell, share, or distribute merchant or customer data to third parties. Your data is used solely to power your Flax Labs dashboards and reports.
Data Storage
- Data is stored securely on Supabase, encrypted at rest and in transit
- Access is restricted to authorized Flax Labs team members only
- Data is retained only while the app is installed and your account is active. Upon app uninstall or merchant request, data is deleted
Data Security
- All data is transmitted over TLS/SSL
- Data is encrypted at rest
- Access is controlled, authenticated, and logged
GDPR Compliance
- Merchants can request a full data export or deletion at any time
- We respond to Shopify's mandatory GDPR webhooks — including customer data requests, customer redaction, and shop redaction
